The Synergy Reader – Forbidden Desires,
edited by Sally Miller, Illustrated by Goldie.
Synergy Press 1997
Review by Spiro Lianos in Open Forum
(Greece)
Sally Miller, the editor of this collection, writes, “In keeping with other
Synergy books, the stories in THE SYNERGY READER deal with many “forbidden”
topics --erotic situations, desires, and partners that the mainstream market
does not address (or approve of). Though most of our other books have focused on
one particular subject, the stories in this volume were chosen to represent a
wide range from the sexual landscape, and included are situations with nieces,
nephews, brothers, aunts, shrinks, doctors, patients, bosses, and customers.”
Yes, this 90-page volume of 15 stories touches most subjects excluding
bestiality (Synergy Press has published a book covering this theme). Some of the
pieces are even accompanied by a nice illustration. The stories will have both
clits and cocks swelling, begging for attention! Sharing them with a loved one
would be nice too. Some of the relationships are not exactly legal, but there
are many people who have fantasized about them, or who have engaged in something
similar. It’s good to read about one’s desires and fantasies, and to know that
others share them -- it lessens, hopefully even eliminates, any feeling of
isolation that one may have. Of course, emotional and physical (when people are
locked up in concentration camps) isolation is one of the results of the
censorship of thought and expression.
Some of the stories included: AUNT MARTHA by Gregor Samsa, about a nephew in his
early teens who becomes infatuated with his 42-year-old aunt, a “stocky,
wide-assed, heavy-legged lady with sagging breasts and a decided mustache,”
their play slowly escalating until he has his tongue in her hairy bush;
EMBARRASSING ECSTASY by BJ Thompson, a woman has to see a doctor for
hemorrhoids, at first she’s shy but then she relaxes somewhat and starts to
fantasize about the doctor playing with her anus;
FANTASIM by Dan Mason, a man hiking nude in a beautiful forest comes upon a
“Botticelli vision,” they make love amidst the flowers;
MILITARY SECRETS by Andrea James, with Dad off in Vietnam, sister sucks off
brother Chuck after he comes home from a frustrating date with blue balls, they
can’t keep their hands and mouths off each other after that –- I really love
when she sucks his cum from a condom and swallows it;
THE PSYCHIATRIST by Sally Miller, mind games (other games too) between a female
patient, who really isn’t a patient, and the somewhat stuffy doctor “Mr. Suit,”
who’s treating whom here?
A TASTE OF YOUTH by John Wilson, an uncle helps satisfy the curiosity of his
very pretty 12-1/2-year-old niece;
THE STEWARDESS by John Bulkley, wild, without boundaries sex, including anal
games with bowel movements;
THE TRIP by Dan Mason, an uncle and his 14-year-old nephew go skinny-dipping,
spread sun-protection oil over each other’s bodies and…
Review by Jack Truett, editor of PAGAN PALAVER, for EIDOS
Sally Miller has chosen 15 short stories ranging all the way from fantasy
excursions to real life encounters in the delightful realms of Eros. Whatever
your preferences in getting it on with a willing partner of your choice, you’re
sure to find stimulation in these erotic rompings happening everywhere from a
Doctor’s exam room to an idyllic glade in a lush forest, and none of the authors
mince words. After all, a good fuck doesn’t improve by describing it with dainty
PC verbiage. Sally Miller herself takes a romp with a psychiatrist and it’s his
turn to get up tight when his secretary joins in the… uh, shrinking. The book is
regular magazine size (8 ½ x 11), large, easily read font, with a down-home,
do-it-herself format. Don’t blame me if you want to call her before you’re half
way through this book. This is a live wire mag you’ll read more than once. And
there is a nice menu on the last page showing other books Synergy Press offers.
