| Sally Miller graduated with an AB in Psychology from Rutgers (New
Brunswick NJ) in 1982 after stints at Oberlin (Ohio) and Iowa State (Ames
IA). She received post graduate sex therapy training and certification
from the Berkeley Sex Therapy Group (Berkeley CA), also in 1982. During the rest of the 80s she pioneered sexual counseling over the telephone and produced several audiotapes and cable television shows. She also owned and managed the Jersey Girls, a phone sex service which worked in conjunction with her counseling. In the 90s Sally published The Whole Sex Catalog, a periodical called Sexual Perspectives, and ten modest books of educational erotica with a focus on teaching self-acceptance and communication skills to people with unconventional obsessions. Her publications have been extensively reviewed, and copies are on file at the Kinsey Institute and the libraries of SIECUS and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex. Articles by Sally on a variety of topics have been published in The Affiliate, The Rocky Mountain Oyster, The Women’s Newspaper of Princeton, EIDOS, Touchpoint, The Jersey Shore Holistic Magazine, Street News, and others. Sally is widowed with four grown children. She is a longtime member of the Higginsville Writers Group in the Flemington, NJ area. Sally has been active in the Central Jersey Vegetarian Group and served with her son Dave as co-chairperson of the Restaurant Committee. In the past several years Sally wrote
and published a cookbook called Good Eats at
Sally's, as well as put the finishing touches on Part 1 of The
ABC's of Living Without Cancer. In 2004 she completed a book entitled
Sylvia, A Memoir of Hollywood Star
Sylvia Sidney, a book about the house and gardens that Sally calls
home. It is full of pictures and has a wonderful surprise ending (don't
